I believe your grandfather is Eugene M. Irion who enlisted for WWII in Nov. of 1944. He was born about 1926 and was living in Lamar County where Paris is when he enlisted.I believe he was the son of Eugene Raymond Irion born in 1900, probably in Paris, Texas. His father would be George P. Irion born 1857 in Gravely Springs, Alabama. And George's father would be Thomas C. Irion who is also my great great grandfather which would make me a third cousin once removed.

I have had contact with a Bill Tribbey who lives in Paris and is descended from Robert Kirby Irion who was a brother of George P. Irion. George P. and Robert Kirby were my grandfather's uncle's
