Still looking for proof that William Y (Young?) Isaacs was the son of Jacob and Jean (Jane) Isaacs. William was born in 1773, we believe in Maryland. He died in 1846 in Pulaski Co. KY, just before the 1850 census that would've said where he was born and where his parents were born. According to the 1776 Maryland census Jacob and Jean had two sons ages 2 & 3, William would've been the 3 yr. old. Jacob and Jean (Jane) died in Adair Co. KY. between 1850 and 1855 although there is no record of their death and they don't appear in the 1850 census. There was no will for Jacob or Jean (Jane) but it wouldn't have included William since he was already gone. It would help to find a list of Jacob & Jean's (Jane) children. Since they moved allot while having their children, many left home between moves and since only head of household was listed before 1850, it makes it difficult to know how many and the names of these children along with the fact that they were farmers so they weren't prominate in their community. Jean's (Jane) maiden name was Conn daughter of James Conn and Mary Young of Maryland. Any help would be appreciated. my new e-mail address is mjthunstrom@charter.net
