Funeral services were held today (Thursday) July 23, 1956 for Emil John Isenberg age 76 years, 4 months, and 19 days. He had been ill for the last two years and had been living at the home of his son [Emil} in Troy. Mr. Isenberg was born in Hamel Illinois March 4, 1880, the son of Charles and Mary [nee Aachauer] Isenberg. A coal miner who lived in Troy 67 years.
On June 14, 1903 he marrried Emilea Heck at St Pau;'s Lutheran Church in Troy.
Survivors include one daughter Mrs. Evan Evans of St. Louis; five sons, Emil F. of Troy, Berhard of Vienna Mo., August of Troy, Victor A. of Dyer, Indiana, and Elmer of Biddleford Maine; two brothers August of El Cirrecto, California and Theodore of New Orleans, Louisiana; 12 gandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
His wife died May 8, 1949. Two Daughters, Beaulah and Margaret, and two sons Richard and Nester also preceded him in death.
He was a member of St Paul's Luteran Church and the Prgressive Mine Workers of America.
Services were condudted by Rev., K.C. Weinrich and interment was in Friedens Cemetery.
