I had to change my name and password here, as I hadn't used this site in a long time, as you mentioned, 2002-2008, back when I posted the name. Thanks so much. If your second cousin is a Holzapfel, I found her in one of my garage sales, maybe back in 2002, which started me on the hunt, maybe it was 2001. She has let me borrow that Richardson book on the Isenhours, she finally found it in a garage of her mother's stuff that she put out there. I'll have to see what I can find on Henry. I thougt maybe it was John and Nancy Isenhour, they were nearby neighbors in censuses, near William.
Do you know if Henry had any brothers, OHHHHHHH,, did William have any brothers/sisters. There were different Isenhours in the Darke Co. area, but didn't find any connection as to them being a brother of William.
William and Catherine, along with a daughter, are buried in Hillgrove Cemetery, very close to Union City, on Ohio side. I have the family list of William's children, and it did have Matilda as a sister to my great grandfather, Charles.
Oh, do you know why Henry was buried over in Indiana, near Newcastle? I wasn't able to exactly discover when WIlliam died either, but found some obituaries for son-in -law, that gave some clues.
Did you ever do any search for military records, like the pension ? I did a request but found nothing, but was also told if you only ask for a certain thing, they tend not to elaborate and give you any extra information.
Thanks for replying. It was fun finding a cousin in a garage sale. She was working on a Master's degree in archaeology at the time. Talk about digging through dirt.
