__________________________________________________
Birth: 1815, Caldwell Co. N. C.
Death: >1880, Watauga Co. N. C.
Father: Phillip 1214 ISENHOUR [ICENHOUR] 1211 (1781-1835)
Mother: Mary (1793-1859)

S/o 1214 Philip & Mary Isenhour. Lived near Sibby's father in Caldwell Co. till 1880 when he moved with most of his family to Watagua Co. N. C. where he has several descendants.

Spouse: Lettie [Louella] Baker
Birth: ca 1817, Ashe Co. N. C.
Death: ca 1870
Marr: 12 Oct 1837, Wilkes Co. N. C.
Lettie was previously married to a Mr. Coffee Moved to Watauga Co. N. C. about 1880 as did Elizabeth Isenhour, b. 1851.

Anna "Annie" (1840-1922)
Willian Wilson "Wilsie" 1268 (1842-1913)
Joseph C. (1844-1927)
Mary Caroline (1847-)
Genelia Catherine (1848-1931)
James Jefferson "JEFF" (1849-1929)
Rebecca Elizabeth (1852-)

(2) 1.4 Joseph C. ISENHOUR
__________________________________________________
Birth: 11 Jun 1844
Death: 2 Aug 1927, Catawba Co, N. C.

Notes: James Sigmon has his birthplace as Catawba Co. but if he is, in fact, a son of Joseph & Lettie Isenhour, it is more likely Caldwell Co. and he moved to Catawba Co. as an adult. ?
In some records, carried as James/Joseph Jefferson ISENHOWER [ISENHOUR]. While there is no clear cut definative record at this time, a family line does existance that suggests that, in fact, Joseph Isenhour was a seperate enity and his birthdate fits the space. {please appreciate this is no a hard and fast finding and will be susstantiated sometime in the future, hopefully) ...............Jim Woolbright

Research: Rhonda Sipes Sherrill <sherri05@adelphia.net> There is a Joe Cefus(?) Isenhour buried in Catawba, possibly Catawba City?

Spouse: Catherine Lucinda 'Cindy' Hefner
Birth: 7 Jun 1856
Death: 15 Sep 1939, Catawba Co. N. C.
Marr: 20 Dec 1877, Catawba Co, NC.

Under the 1880 Catawba, N.C. Census: Jas. Icenhour, Age 30 ; Cenda Icenhour, Age 24; George W., Age 1 & Avry A., Age 1 mth. This is at odds with James Jefferson's wife being Goula Irene Fowler and overlap in time of children of entirely different names and birthdates (sic)?

Children: George W. (1878-)
Avery (1879-)
Bertha Ellen (1881-1952)
Samuel (1882-)
Orphelia Mahala (1886-1986)
Reuben (1888-)
Eliza (1891-)
Jane (1892-)

(2) 1.7 James Jefferson "JEFF" ISENHOWER [ISENHOUR]
__________________________________________________
Birth: 1 Jul 1849, Caldwell Co. N. C. (James in some records)
Death: 11 Feb 1929, N.. C.
Occ: S/o 1223 Joseph & Lettie Isenhour

His father and grandfather used ISENHOUR, but Jeff's family reverted bach to the older usage.of ISENHOWER.
In some Records he is James/Joseph Jefferson which suggests confusion with possible previously un-connected brother, Joseph C. Isenhour (sic.)

In some records, carried as James/Joseph Jefferson ISENHOWER [ISENHOUR]. He is mostly likely, just plain James Jefferson and had another brother, Josesph C. Isenhour (see above )
