Iskra is very famous in Slovenja. It is indeed translated to "spark" and is the name of a major electronics corporation and also the name of a newspaper in Slovenja, formerly Yugoslavia of course. I am a first generation Canadian and have alot of relatives in Slovenia. I'm not sure how the name came to be in Poland but I'm sure it may have something to do with the world wars.
