1881 Census of Warwickshire:-

Living @ Newbold Upon Avon is ARTHUR ISLIP aged 38 (b1842/43 @ Kingsthorpe) his wife Harriett A. aged 37 b @ Goldmington, their daughter Harriett H. Islip aged 11 b @ Rugby
and their daughter Clara A. Islip aged 13 also born Rugby.

There are TWO Edward ISLIP families living in Aston

Firstly Edward ISLIP a Pearl Button Maker aged 45 b Swineshead (as was Elizabeth ISLIP who married Johann Jacob GEBHARD - good chance this is her younger brother); his wife Ellen aged 25 (20 years younger) b Birmingham and their daughter Amy ISLIP aged 5 b Birmingham.

The other Edward ISLIP is aged 40 b 1840/41 Birmingham a Railway Clerk, his wife is Catherine aged 39 b Hartshorne their SEVEN children !!! Ada. M. aged 15 already working as a "Pad Maker", Elizabeth 17 a Dressmaker, Catherine 11, Edward 13, William Hy. 7, Thomas 5, Minnie 2 and Henry 6 months all children b in Birmingham.

Finally, Arthur ISLIP aged 24 b 1866/67 @ Market Drayton, his wife Hannah aged 22 b Birmingham, their daughter Lilly aged 9 months and a niece also named Lilly aged 6. Arthur ISLIP is a "Action Filer" ?
