I'm looking for information about my Israel ancestors. My gg grandmother, Catharine (Catherine?) Israel and Jacob Schwartz were married on Mar. 5, 1865 in Waterloo Township, Ontario, Canada. One of their children, Angeline, was my g grandmother.
My father told me that some of our family (the Israels?) were from Alsace.
