I do have an Alexander Ives, 15 Feb 1828 Lafayette, Indiana - 17 Jul 1911 Centralia, Washington. His father was Orsen Ives and his mother Mary "Polly" Puderbaugh. He was married to Mary Deeter and had at least 12 children. He traces all the way back to William Ives (1607-1648), family progenitor.
And, he's my 4th cousin, 4 times removed to boot.
