I have written many hundreds of posting on www.RootsChat and if you go onto that site an look at the Fife Board you will see quite a lot of information that I have written about the Izatt family. They form quite a large part of my Family Tree.

I have made several hundred postings on www.RootsChat, and if you were to go onto that site and look at the Fife Board you would see my comments about the Izatts who form a large part of my Family Tree, including William Izatt, born 5th Feb. 1758 at Alloa, Clackmannanshire. He married Margaret Simpson on 21st August, 1778 at Culross in Perthshire.

I live in the State of Victoria, Australia, now, but was born in Fife, Scotland.

I would like to get in touch with Sandra Robertson as her William Izatt and my ancestor were brother and sister. Betsy ,the youngest child of Mararet and James Izatt married Robert Allan in Alloa in 1853 and came to Victoria. They had two sons, James b 1855 and Robert b 1859.

have on the Izatt's since I was a child. The story is kind of interesting, but later. I would like to get a copy of your research. I have had a copy of the Izats of Methwyn castle for well over 30 years.

I've recently found Noel Collin IZETT as linked with a branch of my wife's family and would like to know more about him. A couple of references to him include Willans as a name and I wonder whether that was his mother's maiden name rather than WILKENS? Any information gratefully received.

"DEATH OF DAVID E. IZETT
David E. Izett, of Tulsa, Okla., died at Wesley Hospital, Kansas city, at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, June 6th, after an illness of three months.
He was born January 8, 1893, in Richmond, Mo., the son of William and Margaret (Hart) Izett, of Scotland. He lived in Ray County for thirty-six years. He was 43 years old at the time of his death.
On May 12, 1916, he was married to Miss Maud Fortune, daughter of R.T. and Mary Frances (Lusk) Fortune, who survives. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Izett, of this city, one son, Donald Izett; one daughter, Margaret Izett, of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Robert Izett, of Tulsa, William Izett, Jr., of Staten Island, New York; two sisters, Miss Anne Izett, of Tulsa, Okla., and Miss Ellen Izett, of Richmond.
Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church in this city Wednesday, June 10th, at 3 p.m., Rev. S.D. Bartle officiating. Burial in City cemetery. Joiner Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements."

Annie Louisa Hedgman and he died in New Zealand in 1917. James Millar m. Adelene Wilkens and moved to CA. Tolla m. James Gibson-Briant in New South Wales. Hilda Mary m. Thomas Brodie and lived in New South Wales and Nina Beatrix m. Percy Julian and lived in New South Wales. Inez and Johann LeBrun had 5 kids: Johann, Dore, Erling, Aodel, and Thorvald. Ernest Massie had 9 kids: Muriel, Ernest, Andrew, Elsie, Sarah, Inez, Norman, Spencer, and Eric. Tolla and James Gibson-Briant had 2 kids: Inez Dorothy and Tolla Brunhilda. Nina Beatrix and Percy Julian had 2 kids: Richard and Daventa. James Millar and Adelene had 3 kids: Noel Collin, Allen David, and Dorothy. I was most interested in the programmes on Channel 4 about the Tower of London.

My grandmother was Anabella Izat born 1853. From my copy from the Australian Geneoligist about the Izats of Methvyn Castle. I have the family tree from Henry De Izat born 1241 - to John Izat of Balilisk now residing in Berwick, Scotland.

I see that Herbert de Izat 1st Knight was beheaded in 1377, also Sir Walter 2nd Knight beheaded in 1645.

I would like to know where Methvyn Castle was. The only reference I have of Methvyn Castle is where Margaret, daughter of Henry VII died 1541.

I have always been very interested in my family tree and would welcome any information you could share with me.

The 1901 census for Glasgow shows the family of a John Izzet and Sarah Anderson. Children listed are: Robert, Mary, James, Margaret and Walter.
Any chance there are descendants of this family out there? If so, I would be pleased to make contact with them.

I think you're trying to search my husband's genealogy. They have a family organization: David Evan Stephens Family Organization, whose president is Florence Carlson, 1661 W. Loveley Road, Taylorsville, UT 84123. I'm not certain if she has Internet access or e-mail. The registered agent for the Family Organization is Dr. Andrew L. Gardner, 555 E. 2950 N., Provo, UT 84604. Hello -- I don't have a James Izatt with wife Ellen in my database, but we are likely distant cousins as my Izatt family is also from Dunfermline. My gggrandfather John Somerville Izatt came to the US from Dunfermline in 1853.

Do you know who were the parents of your James Izatt?
