My gr-grandmother was from Torella del Sannio, Compabasso, Itlay. She arrived in America June 4, 1906 through Ellis Island to stay with her sister Rafaella (Izzi) Carovillano, in Bound Brook (I found her arrival information at ellisislandrecord.com). Clementina was to marry Carovillano's brother (I do not have a first name), only to find he had been killed in a mining accident. She then met Antonio Manna (or Romanna - he changed his name/birth certificate to get a job at a public works company).

Her father was a farmer named Giovanni Izzi and her mother was Catherine (no last name known)...I have a copy of an August 16, 1949 Newark Star-Ledger newspaper article with a photo of Catherine, but even the author couldn't decide how to spell her name (Catherine/Katherine)...it is quoted that Catherine (at time of printing) had 4 of her 12 children living. Raffaella, Clementina, another daughter in Brazil and a son in Italy.

Clementina died when I was approx. 13 years old.

Anyone with additional information would be great!...I need a surname for Catherine, possible names of missing daughter and son, etc.
