I am looking for any information on Anthony (Tony) Jaber,
he was my husbands grandfather he married Mamie Basharrah, Spelling could be Basharah, we are not sure
They came here in1900 from Sryia. She was from Mt Lebenon, Syria at least that is what we have been told .
He was from Sereal, Syria, we think.
When they came here to America her brother , Michael
Basharrah came with them and also his Brother Michael
Jaber. Anthony & Mamie were married 2-12-1999 just before
they immigrated to America. They lived in Detorit area until
about 1920 , then moved to Amherstberg , Ontario.
We beleive that Anthony's arabic name was Tanios Mowad and that Mamies arabic name was Yamame Atdalla or
Hamame Atdalla , that was the names the arabic church gave
us when we checked on their childrens baptisms .
