JABLONSKI - John J. Jablonski, age 68, died Wednesday, September 7, 1949 at San Bernardino, California. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Body will be at the Horrigan Funeral Home, 5106 N. Saginaw, after 7 PM, Saturday, September 10. He was a former resident of Flint for 35 years, moving to California 7 years ago and was a brick layer and contractor. Surviving are: Son, Philip of California; 2 daughters, Mrs. Frances Daly and Mrs. Frank Ochoa both of Flint; 2 brothers, Albert of Flint and Frank of Bay City, 5 sisters, Mrs. Frances Kowalcyk of Detroit, Mrs. Gustueste Gorzenski, Mrs. Pauline Winser, Mrs. Helen Zelinski and Mrs. Martha Cerwinski all of Bay City; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

Looking to connect with any Jablonski's that may have had ancestors in the Calumet, Houghton County, Michigan area.

My GG Grandmother immigrated from Poland around 1888 (assuming with my GG Grandfather, however I don't know his name) and eventually settled in the copper country.

I don't know GG Grandma's maiden name and have not been able to locate their 1900 census record or any immigration records as I don't have much information to go on. My G grandmother was Pelagia (married Anton Kazyaka)and I only know of 1 brother, John V. Jablonski although there were 7 children born with 6 living as of the 1910 census in Calumet MI. Pelagia and John V were both born in Poland and were 6 and 10 at the time of immigration.

Teofil Jablonski

Does anyone have a Teofil Jablonski in their family tree? Teofil is my great-great grandfather. He was born around 1880 in Poland/Russia and immigrated to the US in 1907. He married Josephine (unsure of her maiden name) and the only two children that I know of that they had together was Jake and Helen. They lived in PA in 1920 and later moved to Mingo County, WV. Please let me know if this rings a bell with anyone. Still trying to find additional information. Thanks!

I am trying to locate a date of death for a descendant of my ancestor, Anna (Gramlewicz) Jablonski, named Henry Zenon Jablonski. There are several possibilities on the SSDI, but the one best matching the date of birth (around 1919-1920) is listed w only a month and year for date of death (June 1975).

Does anyone know if there is online access to a death index that would include dates up to 1976 (date of his mother's death w obit info that he predeceased her)? I would like to know specific date of death for Henry Jablonski so I can look up his obit.

Hi. My name is Dennis Allen. I'm trying to find help tracking down my mother's roots. My mother's maiden name is Lieselotte Jablonski b:1927 "Nova Ruda, Poland". Her parents were Felix Jablonski b:1903 "Langen field, Germany" d:1941 "Germany" m:1923 "Bishofstal, Germany" to Anna Gabrish b:1904 "Germany" d:1979 "Regensburg, Germany". Felix's parents were Joseph and Rosette Jablonski. Don't know the first name, but Joseph's dad was a Von Yablonsky.

As I understand it, some Jablonski members are buried in Regensburg, Germany. The Jablonski line itself, however, comes from Ujazd, Strzelca Opolskie, Opole, Poland. Would appreciate any and all help tracking down her family...Dennis

Does anyone have any information on the Schoennbrun Castle
in Vienna,Austria ? My Grandfather Pawel Jablonski worked there and took care of the horses on the grounds. I also believe that his family lived on the grounds with him. I am related to Anthony Jablonski born 1882 in Poland, and came to America in 1904. I believe he was married to Anna Blancke born 1888 in Michigan. They had eight children, John b.1914, Lillian b.1910, Edward b.1908, Anthony b.1927, Walter b.1917, Anna b.1913, Dorothy b.1919, and Margaret b.1922.

Does anyone recognize this name? We know little about her except that her grave marker says she was born in 1897 and died in 1943. She was born and died in Michigan. According to the 1930 census she had a brother named Edward who was 50. Their parents were from Poland. Any info will be appreciated.

Mary KOWALSKI: born abt Sep 1851 in Russia. Immigrated about 1881 to the USA, where family settled in Bridgeport, Fairfield, CT. Parents were Teofil & Florentyna / Florence (MMN unknown) KOWALSKI. Had 5 siblings, including a sister who lived to be married but died before 1900 and a brother, Leon KOWALSKI who married Julia “Lotta” KOBIERZYCKI.

Mary married Michael JABLONSKI about 1872. Michael was born abt Sept 1847 in Germany, immigrated abt 1881 and was naturalized bef 1900.

By 1900, they had 8 kids with 6 of them still living. I only have info on: Felix, Veronica, Josephina, & Mary.

Felix JABLONSKI: born abt Nov 1876 (or 1878) in Russia, immigrated abt 1881, married Rosetta ? abt 1906.

Veronica JABLONSKI, was born abt June 1881 in Russia and immigrated with her family.

Josephina JABLONSKI: born Sept 1885 in CT. She married Walter ORGIENUS abt 1903. Walter was born abt 1881 in Russia/Poland. They had the following children: ? (died bef 1910), Chester (b abt 1903 in PA, d. 1 Feb 1951 in Bridgeport, was married), Walter (b. 15 Jan 1907 in PA; d. 9 Dec 1988 in Milford, New Haven, CT; and was married to Anna ?), and Florence (b abt 1914 in NY). About 1917, Josephina’s married William J. STRULL (b. c. 1882 in NJ); they had a daughter Adeline (b. abt 1919 CT).

Mary: born May 1890 in CT; was still single in 1910.

Rites Will Be Friday For Ex-Flint Baker

Albert C. Jablonski, 77, who baked wedding cakes for hundreds of Flint area brides, died today in Hurley Hospital.
Mr. Jablonski started the New York Bakery at 2018 Industrial Ave. in 1932 and was in the bakery business until 1949, also operating the Northtown Bakery.
His four sons were at one time all bakers, although two have now gone into other businesses.
Mr. Jablonski , who lived at 205 W. VanWagoner Ave., was a building contractor in the Flint area from 1919 to 1932. He came to Flint from Bay City in 1926. He was a real estate salesman for Flanigan Realty since 1953.
He was a member of the Genesee County Board of Supervisors in 1934.
Mr. Jablonski was a member of the St. Casimers Society, of which he was president for 27 years. He also was a member
of the Knights of Columbus, third and fourth degrees. He was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church, Dom Polski and the Polish National Alliance Group 2861.
Mr. Jablonski and his wife, the former Mary Zboralski, celebrated their golden wedding September 8, 1968.
Besides his wife, Mr. Jablonski leaves two daughters, Mrs. Jean Kubik, Birch Run, MI, Mrs. William Marzonie, Flint, MI,
four sons, Earney B., George R., Leonard J. all of Flint, MI.
Raymond L. Mt. Morris, MI; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Korsie and Mrs. Helen Zielinski, both of Bay City, MI, 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A Knights of Columbus liturgy will be recited at 7:30 PM Thursday and a fourth degree K. of C. service will be at 7:45 PM at the Lenczycki Funeral Home. Services will be at 9 AM
Friday in All Saints Church, Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery.

I am John's granddaughter and I am trying to find any relatives. I know only a few facts: he was born in the US on Feb 16, 1908 and passed away in April of 1974. His fathers name maybe Frank and I don't know his mothers. He has four other siblings their names are Louis, Joseph, Josephine and Ann(I believe she moved to CA and married a man with the last name of Fredrickson??). His parent/s were killed in a fire in Buffalo and the children were "adopted". He was adopted by a family in Boston, NY(suburb of Buffalo) last name of Weber. My Gedo ( Wasyl Jablonski) was born in Poland in 1921, he married my Baba ( Eugenia Burko) she was born in Poland as well in 1922. Am not sure when they were married.
They had 3 kids
Michal born in Halberstadt, Germany in 1944
Olksandra born in Barum, Germany in 1946
Viktor (My Father) born in Celle, Germany in 1950
Gedo immigrated to Canada in 1950, and Baba with the children 1951.

Eugenias parents are
Katarzyna Schpot and Dmyter Burko
I believe that she had a brother but Im not quite sure.
My gedo has given me all the info he remembers, and I have tried everything I can think of.

I am searching for information on my uncle who was born under the name Ernest Henry Hopkins 16 June 1938 in Niagara Falls, NY and was adopted and his name was changed to Stanley Jablonski. I have his signature as a pallbearer in my grandfathers funeral in 1970 in Niagara Falls, NY. His mothers name was Kathryn Leona Savigny, his fathers name was Harold Hopkins. I am trying to find information on my great grandparents John and Frances (Makulenski) who were in Pennsylvania around 1907. They were both born in Poland. They ended up in New Hampshire. I am in search of any information on these two people. I do know that they came to America through Maryland. Had one child who came with them Helena, one child born in Maryland, Winnie and another child. Albert supposedly died somewhere in the Mississippi/Louisiana area. Anna, the mother gave the girls up for adoption to the Witter family. I have very little documentation, and all the ones who knew are now dead. I do know that Anna was watched during the McCarthy era possibly for being a spy. She lived in Montgomery Alabama with her daughter Helena and had remarried and widowed a man named Ott. Looking for any information on a Thomas Jablonski, born west of Poznan, immigrated to US-New York City in 1859-60, settled in Grand Rapids MI for a while, and then moved on to Arknsas in 1877-8. Died there in 1878. His wife Anna Bokien (Bokee) returned to Grand Rapids. I know that he had a sister named Catherine, as well as one named Mary that also came to the US as well as four brothers and as least one more sister. Appreciate any input.

I am looking for any information on Franciszek Jablonski (1867-1937) and relation. Spouse: Rozalia -nee Kwiatkowska? (1869-1943). Children: Elizabeth (Betty) - m. Willaim Belinski; Hellen - m. Frank; Irene (Rena) - m. Michael; James - m. Marie; John; Joseph; Bernard (Barney) - m. Mamie; Sophia - m. Joseph Wydajewski; Walter (1901-1986) - m. Josephine Juszczak; and Alphonse (1911-1959) - m. Bernice (1907- 2000). Franciszek, Rozalia, Alphonse, Bernice and others are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.

As I understand it, Franciszek emigrated from Poland. I believe all of the children were born on the south-east side of Chicago. My grandfather, Louis Jablonski, was born Jan 24 1906, and resided in Cookstown NJ when he died in June 1975. He married my grandmother Augusta "Pat" (nee Carter) and they had one child, Michael..my father. He had no siblings. My father had a cousin (I believe) Thomas Jablonski who married a woman named Mary and lived in Carlsbad NM. I believe he passed away in 1995. I am searching for any information on my father's side of the family. I have very little information to start with. I know that my grandfather,Peter Walter, was born August 12,1912 in New York and that he went on to marry my grandmother Betty Jean Koetter. We have no idea what happened to him after her death in 1965. He lost touch with his children Michael,Denise and Paul. I did find out that he passed away in May 1983. Antonia , born in 1868,was oldest of 7 children.There Mother died when the children were young. The Father was a country doctor in Poland. Father put the care of the 6 younger children in Antonia's care and sent them to America in 1885. Antonia was 17 years old. Family settled in Detroit. Father J.Jablonski later joined the children.Don't know why they selected Detroit to settle in. Know no other information. My great-Grandfather was William/Wincenty Wysocki who came to America in 1913 from Russia, with a Polish decent. Married Amelia (lastname UNK) she died during childirth in 2/1919. The baby Aniela died in 3/1919. William remarried Veronikia Yurgelaevisz from Molda Russia. Veronikia came to America in 1912. William's father was Lucas Wysocki and his mother was Francis Jablonski. Veronikia's motherwas Katherine Sourilaw or Sovel. (We have variations of Katherine's last name!) Her father was Stanley Yurgelaevisz. We have had several spellings of Veronikia's lastname. Has anyone come across this name in their Jablonski search?
My great-grandfather, August Jablonowski was born in the area near Gumbinnen (near Koingsburg) what is in Russia now, was born in 1870 to Adam and Charlotte Jablonowski. He married Marie Skabovius (spelling of this is questionable) who was from Neidenberg (what is now Poland). They eventually emigrated to Germany (Bochum area) and immigrated to the United States in 1902. I find it difficult to understand that a couple whould have only one child. I have been unable to "connect" with any siblings, or other family members. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
