There are Yablonovsky's in my family too and I am corresponding with someone else with that name in her family. To your knowledge, are Jablonsky/Yablonsky interchageable with Jablonovsky/Yablonovsky?
I have found a town in the Ukraine which is close to my grandmother's birthplace that is named Jablonuvycja/Yablonovitsa. They are two different spellings of the same name. It may well be the original of the name Yablonovsky, which means a person from Yablono....
