Emilia (Milka) Jablonsky, my grandmother, came to Chicago about 1913. (Her father's name was probably Joseph of Spis, Czechoslovakia. Emilia married Francis Smith (Smrz) in 1917, bore 4 children to him, and died of pneumonia in Chicago on March 22, 1926. About 1956, our family received a letter from Emilia's sister, Gizela Moniak, who lived in Drava (sp?), Poland in which she requested that we give them permission to take the four "morgi" of forest that had been Emilia's. In the letter, Gizela mentions additional family members living there -- a Jozefina, Vendelin, Tivadar, Gien and Jozef. (Gien and Jozef had moved to Brazil.) There was also a Cecilia Jablonsky.
