Mermod, Jaccard King Jewelry Store-St. Louis

I am trying to establish my kinship with the Jaccards of this establishment in early 1900's. I know because of a link with the King family to my father that this Jaccard line is linked to my family. But cannot find any referance to known names. My grandfather was Monroe M. Jaccard and according to his death certificate, his father was George Jaccard. I recently acquired a white metal goblet with a stamp on the bottom that is circular and says mermod,jaccard & co. . Has a scale in the middle that says quadruple plate around it . Their is a number on it also 0512. can anyone tell me anything about this goblet. i would really appreciate any information.I've been researching the jaccard family since i acquired this peice,and i am now very intrigued by the history.thank you. please reply to my email at kdpowell1230@hotmail.com

Pretty sure my ancestor's family was from the St. Louis area. I know that part of the family branched out to Kansas. I think that was Eugene if memeory serves me. I have a lovely history that the St Louis Public Library sent me. But there may be a link between your husband's and my family. My grandfather was Monroe Jaccard and I'm not sure but I think his father was George. I have recently found another family member that I had never heard of before who has information for me but she hasn't contacted me with the new info yet. If your in-laws recognize any of my names that would be great. Anyway, I'm sure that one way or another we are all related as the jewelry stores were owned by differant members of the same family. Hello all. I would appreciate anyone who could fill me in on Monroe M. Jaccard's parents. I have his father's name: George G. Jaccard, but unfortunately, I have only found the mother's first name: Margarite. I would appreciate a maiden name if anyone has it and any additional information about these 2 that you may have. My brother used to work for a moving company and was given a clock and handed the clock off to me. On the bottom of the clock there is a label with Mermod, Jaccard & King Jewelry Co. on it and is dated 1904. I was trying to look anything up about this company just out of curiosity. I used to live in the St. Louis area 18 years ago. Does this company still exist and can I find out anything about this clock. The clock is not in very good condition but being almost 100 years old I find it very interesting. If anyone has any information on this please let me know.

I have been doing research on a clock c. 1902 from Mermod and Jaccard Co., with two figures atop, by August Moreau, entitled Amour Combattant, and marks on the clock's mechanics and on its face indicating Made in France. In so doing, I have found a fair amount of material which you may, or may not have already found. The Missouri Historical Society Library would be able to help you with your research.

Wensel THCHAKAERT (complicated spelling) upon arrival from Bohemia, through BREMEN was registered as Jaccard, buried at Fort Leavenworth as a veteran in the Civil War and was supposed to have been an itinerant preacher, has any other people heard that story far differen from the swiss branch and the french one spelled Jaquart Thanks for any info

Seeking information about Monroe Jaccard, born in Vandalia, Illinois abt 1895. Need his parents names and any other ancestry that may be available. He resided in Milwaukee for some years but ended his life in St Louis, MO in 1948. Hello, does anybody out there know anything about Monroe Leon Jaccard, formerly of St Louis who moved to Milwaukee in the early 1900's (around 1915). I believe he was my father's father but I have not been able to find out anything about him. Any help would be appreciated.
