Rose Jacinto married a guy names Armand. She was the sister of my father George Jacinto. There were 10 children in the family and they lived in the San Juan Bautista-Hollister-Watsonville area. Rose passed away some time ago.

I have a little on a Rose Jacinto - apparently she was a neighbor to my father's aunt and I have a photo album with pictures. I posted that and got a response from a man who was definitely related to her and I sent him copies of the pictures. I also have some copies of census pages showing her family living next to my father's aunt. I will look to see if I still have his contact information. Contact me at pkathy98 @ yahoo.com.

Hello...I'm Debra from Sacramento. I have been searching for some information on my great-grandmother Anna (Rose) Jacinto who is from Pico, Azore Islands. I have found some information that they possibly lived in Merritt, Yolo County, CA in the 1880's.

I don't know if you have a connection with my family or not. What I know of my family is that the Portuguese part (Dutra) came from the Azores, (as well as the Silva). They settled in both Sacramento on Yolo Counties in California. At one time, there was a nephew, Manuel Rose, who was from the Azores living with them in Washington Township, Yolo County. I have a scanned picture of Rose Jacinto I could send if you are related.

My father's sister's names was Rose Jacinto who married someone named Armand and she used that name for as long as I knew her. Rose Jacinto Armand is buried in our family plot in San Juan Bautista, California. She lived most of her adult life in San Francisco and lived with her children in the San Jose area prior to her death.

The names are very familiar to me. I have a ggrandfather, Antone Dutra from the Azores, married to Catherine or Katherine Silva, also of the Azores. Their daughter Marian was married to Joseph Goulard (or Goularte). Joseph Goulard and my grandfather Antone J Dutra (m. Wilhelmina Kaminsky) ran a grocery store in Sacramento, CA for a while. While looking through Kaminisky family albums, I ran across picture of a Rose Jacinto. Any relations?

Trying to find Elizabeth Henderson, known as Lizzie. Born 1880 Hamilton Co, TX; married Joe Sharp in Hamilton Co, remarried Joe Jacinto from CA and moved to Roosevelt Co, NM.

Last found in 1930, Dora, Roosevelt, NM census as Lizzie Jacinto. Would like to know when and where she died.

I am looking for informaiton on Mary Jacinto b. abt 1857 in the azores (I believe) d. 29 aug 1918 in Agnews State Hospital in Santa Clara California. She married Joseph S. Baptista and they had 6 children: Mary, Louise, Virginia, Caroline, Emily, and Isabelle.

Jacksons lived in Nova Scotia, Billerica, Pawtucket, Malden (Eastern Ave) & Chelsea

Jones lived in Wareham, Fall River, New Bedford, Malden, and Roxbury.

My g'mom: b. 1911 - Mary E. Jackson (born in Billerica on Farmers Lane)
She also lived in New Britain Ct. was first married to 'Woodson', (he was Capeverdean and in the Navy) she also lived in Pawtucket, Falmouth, Marha's Vineyard
Siblings: John, Ethel, Charles, William, Ruth

I think the family was migratory, following the fishing/farming trails along the new England coast

worked for the railroad (So. Station in Boston), grew up in New Bedford, Wareham, Fall River, Malden (Seaview Ave) - he used to speak of 'Nunes' in Fall River that I believe were family or close friends
Siblings: Lillian * she also died as a young woman. She had children: Fred, Harriet & Evelyn

My Mom: b. 1928 Marion 'Sissy' (Green eyes/blond hair well into her 20's) ***She had a boyfrend 'Maceo' (He was in the Navy)
Her siblings: Ralph 'Brother' (he also lived in New Bedford and was a cook in Gloucester) & Newton 'Buddy' Woodson(he worked for the railroad, had been in the Navy)
They grew up in Fall River, Malden, Roxbury (Forest St), but spent a lot of time at 'Pa's big house in the Wareham area. My mom shared her memories of cranberry picking, sand dunes, riding bikes to the beach and her first job making toy dragons. I wish I asked more questions! Would appreciate hearing from anyone who might hold a clue.

Do you have family by the names of Freitas, Silva, Goularte, or many others. My father who was born in 1937, recalls Jacinto cousins and aunts and uncles, that came to a family gathering in Fresno area of California. Does this sound at all familiar to you? San Juan, and Hollister are beautiful areas in California. Very historical land. When is the big celebration in San Juan, that they have every year? Searching for researchers of the Jacintos from Flores Island, Azores. Jose and Maria show up in Bakersfield, CA by 1878 and in Bakersfield in the 1880 census. Later daughter Lizzie comes to Santa Cruz County in CA and marries Joseph Stephen Perry Cordoza.

First of all, please ignore the name "Horacio Zamora" which I wrote in the incorrect space. It is the name of another relative I am researching. I am looking for Genaro Jacinto (Orduna = his mother's name). I believe he may have been born in either Guerrero or near Tacubaya near the D.F. He was part of the 201st volunteer airborne squadron from Mexico City, WWII. He was deployed to Northeast Texas before flying overseas sometime in 1945. After the war he returned to Mexico. My great grandfather was Joseph Silva Sr. from Pico Azores, lived in Fresno Area of California in the 1910's through the 1950's. Prior to residing in Fresno, not sure where he entered the USA. My great grandmother was named Mary C. Freitas. However on my grandfathers marriage certificate it list two different last names for his mother?? confusing?? my great grandmother had a child prior to her marriage to my ggrandfather. My father who was born in 1937 remembers family in the San Juan area, Gilroy, all throughout the area. He remembers some sisters who he says were tall and thin when he was young. They called themselves the Jason or Jacinto sisters. They always told him when he came to town just to ask where the Jacinto "Jason" sister lived and everyone in town knew. They apparently lived in a victorian house?? does this sound familiar? Please let me know.

My Grandfather's name was Antone. He and my Grandmother [Mary or Maria] sound similar to the names of your relatives. This was on my Father's side of the family. He had 9 or ten brothers and sisters. They lived in the San Juan Bautista/Hollister area of California. My Grandfather died prior to WWII and my Grandmother died during WWII not sure the exact year. The name Dutra and the other names you used in your listing are names my parents have talke about. There is also an Enos side of the family that lived in Los Banos.

Looking for information on a Maria Da Gloria who married Antonio Jacinto around 1900-1903.
She was previously married to Antonio Canhoto.He pased away. She had two children in previous marriage Maria Do Carmo Gouveia Canhoto, Manuel who went to Argentina and died there (Need info). Antonio Jacinto also had another child from another women(?)
