Hi, I've just recently started researching this line of my family tree.
I descend down through Levi & Lucinda (Riley) Jackett's daughter Ida Hahn nee Jackett ( I am her 2x great grand daughter)
I am curious to know have you ever been to the Verona Cemetery? Do you know who Levi's parent are? How many siblings he had? I'd be happy to share what I have on Ida's line forward.. Thanks, Kim (dbkb9@verizon.net)

I have a little information on this family. Warren A. Jackett had at least one son, Charles A. Jackett. Charles married my 1st cousin twice removed - Lillian Steinkraus. They were married in Darien, Rock, Wisconsin but ended up living in Delavan, Rock, Wisconsin. They had only one child - Beatrice. She married Jim Voss and had three children - Nancy, Chuck and Valerie.

Susan
saflood@sbcglobal.net

I am at work right now and don't have any info handy, but after Thanksgiving I will try to see what info I have on the Jacketts and send it to you. I have unfortunately reached the end of the line with the first Abraham Jackett (Jacquet) who was born around 1791?in Rhode Island? Supposedly they were French Huguenots. Lee Ann

Hi, Tom!

Thank you so very much for responding! This is all very interesting and exciting to me. I have heard so little about my Jackett ancestors and my grandma Daisy has been gone for years. My ancestor was William Jackett. I have it recorded that his middle name was Abraham. I would be happy to know whatever info you have on our family. I'd also love to see photocopies of any articles concerning Abram Jr. This past weekend my family met for a mini reunion and there were a couple pictures of Mary Jackett (daughter of William) that I can try to borrow for copying for you. I'll bet I don't have any new info that you don't already have, but I will look through my box of papers to check.
Thanks again for responding-it's always fun to discover a new cousin!

Lee Ann

P.S. - Any success on finding out more about Rachel Stockwell's line?

Hi, Tom!

Thanks for the information! My ggg grandfather was Abraham(the junior). Do you have any other info about our family? Was the name Jackett, Juckett, or Jacquet originally? My grandma always said English, but I heard from someone else that it could be French. I know things were sketchy at that time, but it would be neat to find out more about where they came from, when they came(boat, etc?) and other interesting bits of information. Unfortunately, I don't have any really old information.
I'll check my records to see if I have any thing else. Do you have anything farther back on the Stockwell side? I know there was a Jacob Stockwell (wife-Rachel) who fought in the Revolutionary War. I'd love to prove this was one of our ancestors!

Talk to you soon-Lee Ann

David, If you'd like to contact JOHN JACKETT directly, I have his E-Mail address. Somewhere's here, if I can find it, I also have an E-Mail address for a Susan Jackett also of England. (Her husband's name is Mark, and I believe that John Jackett ALSO has her E-Mail address). I think she could also possibly help you. My address is: lgetman2@stny.rr.com ;(the 1st character is a small l, as in lettuce).
Best wishes in your search, Wesley (Wes) Jackett

Arthur JACKETT: Oswego NY ~1920

Seeking information about Arthur JACKETT of Oswego NY, who was designated as executor in the will of Julia CADWELL, dated 27 Jul 1920, of Lebanon, Madison Co., NY. Julia (1871-1920) was wife of Morris CADWELL (1857-1919); this was the second marriage for each of them. The will mentions two daughters from her prior marriage, but does not name them. Family knows her as Julia DEMARES, but unclear if that was her maiden name or first married name. Unclear relationship to Arthur Jacket either, but we're hoping for information. RVLevine@AOL.com

Hi, Lee Ann
The name was Jacquet according to my grandmother and they were French huguenots. Now as far back as Abram Sr. it has gone as Jackett so where it might have been changed I don't know or where she got her info. I have more info. From Lucy's death certificate info and childrens names. Jr. and Lucy had 3 children that lived. Warren, Georgina, and William. Which line do you decend from of the 3 ?The 1860 census also lists a Mary age 8. I have a couple of short articals about Abram Jr. and pictures of their grave stones. If you want I can try and scan them to you

Tom
