Jane, I have a Robert Jacklin, no age known, apparently emigraged from Hull England to Canada - no date known.
He married Catherine Healy,(b 1838) abt 1854,(going by 1st child's birth year of 1855). I have the baptismal records for 4 children - Sarah Ann, b 10 Mar 1855, Johanna, b 11 Jun 1858, Mary Fanny ,b 31 Jan 1860, & Patrick Joseph, b 17 Mar 1861 from St. Mary's Catholic Church in/near Holstein, dated Feb 15, 1861.
Info from a Jacklin relative: Robert Jacklin left Canada before son Patrick was born in Mar 1861 to go to Nebraska to homestead & never came back. He was presumed killed by the Indians as he had money on him. Wife Catherine does show up in the 1861 Census of Grey Co with the daughters & no son. Also Robert was supposed to have owned a horse trucking company in Toronto to Hudson Bay. - The part of the family I research is from Patrick Joseph who emigrated from Canada to Niagara Falls NY.
Could Robert be the 6th child?
