Surnames: jackson,meehan, larocque, heidel, heise, bernier
Anyone know if Jackson was a name that came from Jackowski?
My GGGrandfather Jan, Jano, Jackson b. 5/1865, listed Austria and Poland on place of birth on two seperate census reports. Immigrated approx 1885-1890 to NYC.
Married Margaret Meehan and lived in New Rochelle with family till his death in 1905. As you can see he was young when he died.
