Jackowski's in NY or CT

I am looking for information on Frank Jackowski (my grandfather). My mother knowns very little about his family. He was born in 1917/1918, lived in upstate NY (Booneville, forestport, old forge). His army record states he was born in CT. His fathers name is Stanislaus Jackowski. Not sure who is mother is (Helen or Margaret) and he had a cousin Eleanor Jacobowski. Any additional information would be appriciated.

Franciszek, Leon, Jan Jackowski

I'm writing from Poland and I look for some informations about three brothers of my grandfather who emigrated to the USA betwen 1900-1910. It was Franciszek (Frank) Jackowski born in 1886, Leon (Leo) Jackowski born in 1889 and Jan (John) Jackowski born 1890. They probably lived in Ilinois or Indiana state. As what I know Franciszek had 3 children: daughter Leokadia (Lodzia), sons Zygmunt and Henryk.
Leon had son Edward and Jan had daughter Wanda.

My grandfather, ANTONI THADDEUS JACKOWSKI (1895-1978) immigrated to Buffalo, NY from Poland via Canada, where he married Mary Helene Nice (1903?-1978). I know that my grandfather was one of 13 siblings - 7 brothers and 6 sisters - and I would like to know what became of them. I only know the name of one, JOE JACKOWSKI, who I know also came to the US. I don't know when any of them came over, but my grandfather must have come before 1934, and after 1918(?), as he fought with the Polish cavalry in Italy in WWI. Any of this ringing bells?

MY GREAT-GRANDFATHER STANLEY JACKOWSKI CAME OVER FROM POLAND ABOUT 1895. HIS WIFE JULIA AND FIVE CHILDREN CAME HERE VIA NEW YORK IN JUNE 1900. THEY SETTLED IN AGAWAM, MASS.,WHERE THEY FARMED. CHILDRENS NAMES ARE, LEOPOLD, STASIA, HELEN,MICHAEL, STEVEN, ALBERT, ANNA, AMELIA & FRANCES.

I have a newspaper clipping of a photo of Harriette Jackowski, who is demonstrating weaving on a hand loom at the 6th New York Antiques Exposition. She is listed as being of Northampton, Mass.

Hi, My gr gr grandmother's name was Jozefa Jackowska (b.~1834). She married Jan Ptaszynski and they lived in Gory and Krzywokolek, Poland in the Catholic parishes of Dobrzykow and Radziwie.

In the town of Gory there are also listed the names Franciszek Jackowski (b.~1820) who had a son Jedrzej Jozef in 1846).

There is a Jedrzej Jackowski who had a daughter named Maryanna Jackowska (b.~1825)

Jozefa Jackowska Ptaszynska also had a daughter named Honorata Ptaszynska. This girl's godparents were Marcin and Katarzyna Jackowski. There is also listed a Franciszek Jackowski (b.1856) to Gregorz Jackowski. any connections?

My GGGrandfather Jan, Jano, John Jackson b. 5/1865, listed Austria and Poland on place of birth on two seperate census reports. Immigrated approx 1885-1890 to NYC.
Married Margaret Meehan and lived in New Rochelle with family till his death in 1905. As you can see he was young when he died.

I know they spelled the name different her husband had came to the U.S. around 10 years before her francis had a daughter francis died age 13 sons named Gerald,ronald,kennith,dennis who died in vietnam,and kevin

I am looking for more information on the following family. I would like to find out the descendents of the following marriage: Franciszek JACKOWSKI and Helena WYCHUDZKI. They were married in 1894 in Baboszewo, Poland. They had one daughter that I know of named Karolina who was born 5-4-1895 in Sokolniki, Poland. Helena's parents were Andrzej WYCHUDZKI and Rozalia BIERNACKA. My family connection is through Franciszek's dad...Jan JACKOWSKI...his second marriage produced my great-grandpa Teofil JACKOWSKI.

Looking for some help with family tree. I'm the grandson of Antoni (Anthony) Jackowski. Born in Poland on July 13,1875 in Kupiski Starie Lomza Poland. He came to this country with brother Alex. He also had brothers Piotr (Paul) who stayed in Poland and John who went to NYC and a sister Josephine who also went to NYC. My grandfather's parents were Piotr and Marcjanna (nee Jurkowska) Jackowski. Parents stayed in Poland. So if anybody can help please do.

I live in Switzerland and my husband bought 2 oil paintings (dated 1973/75) by a polish painter "K. Jackowski" from a friend who lives here who told him that K. Jackowski stayed in his home and payed for his board by leaving the paintings behind before returning to poland.

Does anyone have any information regarding an artist in the Jackowski family tree?

I am looking for information on the Jackowski family with father Joehn or Jochn Jackowski and mother Katarzyna BUDZINSKA. Katarzyna lived in Baltimore for a time with son-in-law Adam TRAWINSKI (1920 census), she was a widow at this time and may have returned to Poland. Her one son, Teofil Jackowski, was born in Plonsk in 1894 and died in Detroit in 1963. I do not know very much about this family and its connections. I would like to hear from anyone who thinks these names are familiar.

Hello. I am beginning to research my ancestors and could use any assistance anyone can give me. I was born and raised in Milford, CT. My father came from Scranton, PA where he lived with his brother Stephen and several sisters, Edna, Pearl, Sophie. My grandparents came from Poland but I can not find out where. I have several cousins, Stephen, Kathy, Joseph (who lived in Bridgeport,CT in the late 1960's.

Jackowski's in Chicago North Judson, IN

My great-grandfather's name was J.F. Jackowski. He had a wine/liquor/party hall at 730 West 18th Street in Chicago before selling it and moving his family to North Judson, IN. His daughter, Mary, married my grandfather, Stanley Bloniarz, in Chicago around 1910. They moved up to East Troy, WI after my father, Kaszmer, was born in 1911. Mary died in childbirth in 1914, in WI. If anyone knows more about Mary's family I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. Mari Ann

My grandfather Ladislaus ( Elijah) Jackowski emigrated to the US from Posen, Poland between 1870 and 1873, different records give different dates, with his parents Julian and Pelagia Jackowski and a brother Boleslaus (Ben) and sister Provdentia. According to my grandfather's naturalization application they entered in New York and then settled in Robertson County, Texas. I have been unable to find out what ship they came on or exactly when they entered the US.

Has anyone run across this name in their research of the Jackowski family in Poland or can make any suggestions on how the proceed?

Looking for infor on my grandfathers family. Tadeusz Jackowski b. Sept. 9,1895. He had a brother Walter who married Leona, their children: Frank, joh, Ted, Frances, Janet Josephine; a sister Helen who married a Makuch (poss. Michael?) - they lived around Dillionville, Ohio area: children are - Mary, Stella (m. Ulcyzenski), Anthony, Mike, Chester John; a sister who lived in Pa. -no further info on her-; a brother Frank w/wife and child who had remained in Poland.
