Thomas Jacks (1675) Family of MD. N.C. and MO.

Hello,
My name is Jolene Jacks-Capparelle. Eighteen years ago I traced my family line back to Thomas Jacks. I was stuck proving who his father was. I believed it was Jone. He arrived in Maryland in 1667. He was an indentured servant. Life and little children came along and side tracked my search. In April of this year, I took my records out of storage and started again. I'm hooked! Now, I will not stop until I find the answers or draw my last breath. ( I'm sure you understand).
Could you help me with a few questions?

Do you know if any of the Jacks men have done the DNA test? I asked my father if he would do it, and he said yes. It would be great to use the same testing site.
I am working on the Richard/Ann Garland, Sparks, Brinigar triangle...HELP.
Here is my Line:
Thomas 1675? Married Elizabeth, Powell, Waters, (maiden name unconfirmed)
Richard 1713 Married Ann (Garland? maiden name unconfirmed)
John 1740 Married Asenith (Martin? maiden name unconfirmed)
Richard Marion 1772 Married Sophia Barnes
Elias Barnes 1802 Married Polly Warden
Warden Thomas 1835 Married Mary Rodgers
John Marshall 1817 Married Ruby Seeley
Edward Eugene 1911 Married Ruth Marie Matthews
Eugene Edward 1939 Married 4 times 1) Charlotte Renno 2) Janice Richardson 3) Joyce McLaughin 4)Dorris Hansen
*Jolene Jacks 1962. Daughter of Janice Richardson.
Where are do we intersect?
I have some old Jacks photos. I am willing to share all information and photos.
May I call you? I have free long distance.
Jolene Jacks-Capparelle
jolenecappy@cox.net
I have found graves in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery. Samuel F Jacks&wife Cinncinatti Cornelius Jacks
William Bennett Jacks & wife Ludie Crowley Jacks
Minnie Ola Jacks and I believe the grave next to her marked only with a concrete block is that of her husband Samuel M. Jacks. I would like to find decendants of these people as I am a Jacks also abd did not realize there were Jacks in that part of the county. Most of them were from around Five Mile Creek.

John Smith (OH) and Qunne "Queen" Jacks WV > VA

Does anyone know about John Smith (b. Steubenville, OH) and Qunne "Queen" Jacks? They had 4 daughters: Mary, Helen Adelaide and Lucille Pauline Gray Smith. Pauline was b. 1915. Qunne is reported (by my dad and uncles) to be 1/2 indian.

Qunne went on to marry 2 more times. She had children with both husbands. I do not know the names of the children.

Lucille went on to work at the Rayon Mill in Covington, VA in 1930. In 1933, she married James Monroe Campbell b. 1914 in Botetourt Co, VA.

Any information would appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeanie Peel

Jim A. Jacks

My great grandfather, Jim A. Jacks, lived in
Wedowee (Randolph County), Alabama, and
deserted the last year of the Civil War. He
came out of hiding and returned to his wife
and two sons, George and Tom, after the war
ended. On the way, he stole a mule from a
neighbor widow. His wife, (don't know her
name), being the good woman she was, refused
to live with a man so mean, so she made him
some shirts and he left with the shirts AND
the mule, and married a Mary Elizabeth Glenn in a church ceremony, in Georgia, some
six weeks later, without benefit of divorce
or telling wife #2 about wife #1 and his
sons. Fourteen years later, the two sons
from Alabama were helping a neighbor move to
Euharlee (between Rome and Cartersville, GA)
and discovered their father and his new family just down the road. The older son
returned to Alabama as he was by then married
but the younger son stayed with his father
and his family. The new family consisted of
5 children: a daughter, Sally; and four sons, Dave, Will, Tom and Sam (Dave was my
grandfather). Jim's story goes on and on!!
Would like very much to hear from anyone who
might have information on the names of Jim's
parents, the name of his first wife in Alabama, and if possible, the names of her
parents. I have some knowledge of all 7 of
the children.
I am NOT a member of the Jacks family but I do have a few photos that I bought at an auction which have the following Jacks Names (and others): 1)Mary Ellen Jacks Holloway, 2)Polly Jacks (Grampa Jacks sister), 3)Bertha White, 4)Frank Williams, 5)Ruby Jacks (Blower) [Eng], 6) Agnes Jacks Rickart, 7)Grampa Jacks sister Polly - Mary Ellen Jacks Holloway, 8) Rose Canedy, 9)Thomas Canedy (Harry's Son). These others must be related in some way since they were all together in the same grouping (I think anyway). If anyone has an interest in these as part of their family collection please e-mail me directly - tmyers3@nycap.rr.com
Thanks
Tim Myers

I'm trying to locate any Jacks that I'm related to. 1st My grandma's maiden name was Dorothy May Jacks (married name is Jones). She had one sister named Ella Jacks, and three brothers named Lloyd, Wayne, and Ralph. I am to believe that they all lived in Missouri before moving around. To my knowledge to date, Ella's married name is Schlotman and she may live in Nebraska, and her children also. Wayne could possibly be in Washington or family. Lloyd I belive married to Concepcion and lives in So. California, and Ralph I have no idea. Please help, I'd like to know if anyone is out there somewhere. THANK YOU! Teresa

Yea! I finally found someone! Are you the person who put in the info on the family tree at this site? I had tried the email address kikisgenepool but it didn't work. I am the daughter-in-law of your cousin, Joan Jacks Anderson. She seems to be about the only person who has been interested in what I can find about the family. You probably know her mother, Dorthy Causey Jacks was married to Curine's brother, Temetha. They had six children before divorcing. The kids all grew up in Oregon. Joan has wanted to find out what she could but didn't know how. I had spoken with Zorria, Temetha's second wife, and she told me what she knew, but it didn't go back very far. Email me privately and we can 'talk' some more! Jessica

I have recently found that my gr. gr. grand mother's maiden name was Jacks. I am working on finding her first name. She was probably from Louisiana. She married a man named Felder and had at least three daughters - Inez, Rosetta and Isabell. If anyone has any information or leads about these family names, please let me know. I would really appreciate hearing about possible family ties. Thanks lots!
