Looking for family of Johann's second wife Rosa. Johann married Rosa in abt. 1894, I presume in Sibley Co. MN. In the 1900 New Auburn census they had been married for 6 yrs. Both are 50 yrs. old. Rosa states that she had 2 children, both of which were alive at census taking. Her death record states that her maiden, (geb.), name was Winter, that she was b. in 1838, in Schoenewald, Kreis Vandsburg, Prussia.
I am wondering if the death sur name listed/recorded, might be the sur name of her last husband, and not actually her 'real' (geb.)/maiden name.
