My grandmother's name was Gertrude Jacquot. Her husband's last name was Allan. I recall her telling me stories when I was a child about French settlements along the river...possibly Kankakee but I wouldn't swear to that. I will check to see if other family members whom I have reently communicated with have more information and get back after the holidays.....Mike Lawson
