Catherina Jaeger Bastress, PA Married Peter Winter in 1857

I am looking to verify my great grandmother's maiden name. Cathrina Jaeger is listed as the mother of my grandfather, Peter H. Winter.
Catherina or Katherine married Peter senior in 1857. They lived in Bastress,Pa and are buried in St. Boniface cemetery in Williamsport, PA. They had 13 children.
My confusion is that I was told he married a Katherine Axmann, but as I now research the family, Catherina Jeager appears as Peter Jr.'s mother. Perhaps he married twice.
If you are familiar with this family and have additional information that would clear this up I would appreciate the help.
