Some of you have written about John Jaggers born 1777 in London and married to Elizabeth Crouch. I also have a John Jaggers that married an Elizabeth in London but he is not the same one and I don't want to get them muddled. I was wondering if any of you could tell me where in London the John that married E. Crouch came from, it may help.
My John Jaggers was born in Clerkenwell c. 1780, he was a chair maker and undertaker, he married an Elizabeth (surname unknown). He moved to Southwark then Lambeth. I know of 4 children, John Thomas b 1813 (a blacksmith and undertaker, married Eliza Hodges), Joseph b abt 1819 (publican of the Plough in Bloomsbury, married Eleanor Miles), Robert William b abt 1822 ( a carpenter, married Catherine Catchpole) and Henry b abt 1826 ( a potter).
John (snr) married again in 1836 to Ann Body, she died in 1849, I don't have a date of death for him but it was after 1851.
If anyone knows anything about my John Jaggers family or can give me information that would help identify the correct John and Elizabeths I would be very grateful.
