I'm tracing the Jagos who were in Glasgow in the mid 1880s onwards. Josias Jago & wife Grace Durant Jago who had several children, one of whom was Rev.Josias Coke Jago, through Josias Jago (qualified as Physician and Surgeon at Glasgow as did his brother Edwin Brooks Jago). Josias married Lydia Watson and then appears in census reports in Sunderland and Fareham, Hampshire. I'm trying to find out if he was a ship's surgeon and on which shipping lines. I've tried the Navy lists and nothing seems to appear. He had two sons who were both doctors in Sheffield (Josias Watson being my grandfather) and then my late father (Dr.John Watson Jago).
