John Abraham Jagoe 1764 - 1809 M 1) Dorothea Bird 1785
and 2) Anne Swanton 1801, said to of had 10 children, resident of Kilornan and Keenrath, County Cork,Ireland, son of John Jagoe M 1742 Ursula Hicks. Hope this helps.

There were from Gurteeniher. Their marriage witnesses were Justin McCarthy and John Kingston.
In 1837 they had William Kingston in Leitra w/ sponsors John Kingston and Ellen Russell. In 1842 they had Darby (Jeremiah) in Caencullig w/ sponsors James Crimin and Betty Jagoe. In 1846 they had Mary in Gurteeniher; sponsors were William Kingston and Mary O'Connell. Is anyone researching this family?

When I was a small child I was told my name was of french/spanish origin. I was also told that my grandfather imported draughthorses into Australia. Can anyone help please?

I am looking for information on the immigration of Abraham Jagoe. He was born in Cork County, Ireland in 1769. The first record of him in the US was the 1787 census in Shenandoah County, Virginia. The story is that he came over with two brothers as a young lad, probably between 1784 and 1786. Any information would be appreciated.
