Doubt if I can help with any of the requests on this board. I know very little of my paternal grandmother's lineage and that is what I'm trying to piece together. What I do know: She was from the Moravian (Morava) region of what is now the Czech Republic, but then part of the Austrian empire. I have researched some information that says she was from a town called Strebenice, which is not on any map, nor coming up in any search. She, Anna Jakoubek or Jakobek or Jacoubek, was born 10/22/1888, emigrated to the U.S. on 10/11/1907 via the SS Patricia landing in NY, but wound up on a farm with either relatives or friends somewhere near Omaha, Nebraska. She married my grandfather Josef Vrba (Joseph Verba), in Omaha on 11/22/1913 at St Wenceslaus Church. They settled in Cleveland OH where my grandfather's family emigrated to.
