I am the great-grandson of Martinus (Martin) Jakubowski. I know that Martin and Joseph were brothers. This imformation comes right out of the family bible in Marathon WI. I have their death certifs. Is it possible that we are talking about different Josephs.

Martin and Theophilia came to the US on 21Apr1881 on the ship Gellert. I am not sure when Joseph arrived here, But they are both buried in Marathon WI. I think I have a picture of the headstone here somewhere. I know my father has one.
According to the family bible written in their hand Andreas is the father of both Martinus and Joseph Jakubowski.
This may well need further attention from us both to get this sorted.
I am also sorry I also came off alittle strong.
