We trace our Great Great Grandparents back to Mary O'Donnell who married Patrick Birmingham in Ireland. It is our understanding that Mary was born in County Mayo. Any connections here?

Hello Muriel,
This may be hard to believe.....but then it would be for me as well, but my surname is Jameison too. That's EIson...NOT IESON.
Anyway, the original Jameisons (at least in my family) hailed from England as well. I believe 1 might have been a member of English nobility...or married into it.

My particular Jameison ancestor was allegedly a "war-hero" who inherited his child-less uncle's sugar plantation on the island of Jamaica, which at that time was part of the British West Indies. I think he married one of his COLORED servants and their union produced several children; one of whom was my paternal grandfather PErcy Jameison who was born in 1887. Upon reaching adulthood, he settled in New York City spending the rest of his life in the Borough of Manhattan.
If I've intriqued your interest so far with my variation of our illustrious surname and its fantastic voyage throughout the UK, BWI,
and the USA, then please keep in touch. You know where to find.
Take care, and I hope to hear from you soon.
From 1 Jameison to another.
TIM

All records are lost..or,
I should say too difficult for me to find!
I would appreciate any information.
Anne

Its said she had at least 13 children with my great grandfather. I don't know if Ellen was my Greatgrand fathers First or second wife.My Aunt has no memories of her or the children, but I will ask again . Please send your e mail address will keep in touch . If you are able to find anything out please keep me posted. Good Luck Ed Bruck.
