Hello,

I have been searching for 25 yrs for the wheare abouts of the children of James Jamieson and Elizabeth Milne. I have the following names and was wondering if u are related or have information,

James, John, Alexander, Elizabeth, Elspet, William, Duncan, Charles, Anderson, George, Helen, Jessie, They were all born between 1886 and 1902 or a little after 1902, not sure.
The only one I found info on was Anderson Jamieson who immigrated to Australia.

Now, you mentioned that four of them came to Canada, do u have info on where they lived.

I also live in Ottawa, Canada

I'd just answered Joy's post then came across yours. Mary Jane Jameson was my GG Aunt too - at least the grand-daughter of my GGGgrandparents, the Ruths of Tyboe and Glenagoorland Glebe in Donaghedy, Tyrone. I have details for them and the Ogilbys. Please get in touch.

Mary Jane Jameson was my GGAunt (I think) - at any rate the grand-daughter of my GGGgrandparents. I've just discovered the link between her, James Douglas Ogilby and his family of Altnachree Castle at Liscloon. Mary Jane descends from the Ruth family of Tyrone who owned farms at Tyboe and Glenagoorland Glebe in Donaghedy from about 1830. I have all their details and Parish church records, including those of the Ogilbys. Please get in touch - this is fantastic!

James and Elizabeth had 12 children of which four emigrated to Canada i believe (Jessie Ann (Mackie) James, Lizzie and Dod (George. James was born 1862 in Monquhitter Aberdeenshire and married Elizabeth Milne in 1886.

I have a bit of info, and you love to learn from you as well!

Dora was born January 1903, but I don't know the date. Her family is in the 1911 census, as is his. I can email you the links to the pages, although see if the one below works. Walter was born in 1900, son of Samuel Styres and Elizabeth "Lizzie". Dora is a descendant of Mary Jemison.

I'm interested in Dora because I believe that she traveled overseas to England in 1930 as part of a delegation demanding sovereignty for the Six Nations. I have her on a ship, and I have a copy of a photo. Send me an email, and I can send more to you! I'd like to know what she did for a living, if she was a teacher, or a homemaker etc.

this is a longshot but i was born in 1970 and put up for adoption. Now ive been trying to trace my birth mother. Now from what i fond out she married a Jamieson in 1972 in aberdeen and got divorced in 1976. I dont have a first name but her name would have been Sandra Duncan Lawrie. Formerly of Holburn Street Aberdeen. As it stands i dont know my fathers name. But dont know if this name is in your records at all. Would appreciate any help at the moment as i have hit a wall. When i was born i was Registered as Gavin John Lawrie, but dont think its recorded as i was put up for adoption. thanks

Charlotte Jamieson born abt 1847 - parents Robert Jamieson and Hannah Gee

Charlotte Gee married Harry Jamieson and had a child Keturch Jamieson abt 1850.
