Hi Florence, I believe our Janda's are from Tabor, Bohemia. Jacob Janda is the name of my great grandfather, he was born in 1846. His father also Jacob was born abt.1825. Don't know Jacob Sr.s wife name. Jacob had a brother John, both had settled in Chicago, Ill. I'm sure there are other siblings.
