Hi, Laurie --

I do think Thomas and Jacob were related, definitely. I don't think they were brothers, but more likely cousins. Like you, I'm working hard to put the puzzle pieces together! Here is an ancestry link to what I think may be my Thomas' immigration record: http://search.ancestry.com/iexec/?htx=View&r=an&dbid...

Thomas lived in Allegheny City, 4th Ward, 33 Chestnut Street. He was a tailor by trade, having a shop on Canal Street, and died in approximately 1879, of drowning in a flood according to family lore.

If you get more on Jacob -- his home village in Bohemia, for example, or his parents' names -- I'd love to hear, and continue sharing info. You can always reach me at dancesherdream@aol.com.

Thanks for the note, I had seen your posts before and thought that you were one to watch -- you seem to have good information, and I think there is absolutely a likely family link.

BB,
Elizabeth
