Clifton Janes, 85, of 305 Glendale Road, Franklin, KY, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, in Kentucky.

He was born November 9, 1926, in Penn Township, Morgan County, OHIO, a son of the late Raymond and Mary Janes of Penn Township.

Mr. Janes was a member of the Church of Christ. He worked construction all of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Wilson Janes of Kentucky; one daughter, Linda Neal of Tennessee; one son, Steven Janes of Kentucky; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Claude Janes of Chesterhill, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Clyde Janes.

Memorial service and burial were held in Nashville, TN.
