NEW BOSTON, Illinois - Eleanor C. Janisch, 72, of New Boston, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at her home.
Funeral Mass will be at the St. Catherine Catholic Church, Aledo, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Memorial Children’s Hospital. Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
Eleanor was born on March 13, 1936, in Chicago, the daughter of Francis L. and Grace E. Simmermon Hoffman. She married William J. Janisch on May 10, 1958, in Chicago.
She was a 1954 graduate of St. Benedict High School in Chicago.
She was employed with Early American Insurance for 15 years, retiring in 1999.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was the best friend to her husband and a dear friend to many. She was a devout Catholic and loved her angels. She was the world’s best cook, a wonderful bingo player, and possessed a gift to lift.
She was a most generous, loving and caring person always putting others before herself. She opened her home and dinner table to all. She was the family peace keeper and protector. She dearly cherished her cat and therapist, Brittany Grace.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, William Janisch; sons, William M. Janisch of Decatur, James F. Janisch of Chicago, Patrick J. Janish of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Christopher M. Janisch of New Boston, Phillip M. Janisch of Glen Ellyn, and Francis L. Janisch of Elk Grove Village; 13 grandchildren, Stephanie, David, Amy, Emily, Blake, Joseph, Kyle, Cailyn, Bret, Timothy, Nicara, Jesse and Emma; and two brothers, Michael Hoffman and Steven Hoffman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Frank Hoffman and sister, Patricia Meirgle.
