My Great Grandparents were Peter and Julia (Vitkauskas) Janciauskas. They lived in Shenandoa, PA & attended the Church of St. George. My Grandmother, Julia Dorthea Janciauskas was born there on Dec. 31, 1895. Other children included: Charles, Mary, Martha b. 1889, FRances b. 1890, Annie b. 1891, Frank, b. 1893, Carrie b. 1896 or 1898, Peter b. 1900 and Millie b. 1903. Somewhere along the way, the name became Janczewski and later Jones. A lot of mystery seems to surround this family and I have yet to find out why. If anyone can help me learn something about my Janczewski ancestors who may have a connection to this branch, please get in touch.
