Not sure where they came from in Lithuania. My Great grandma's name was Pauline, her sister Hermania I think. As the story I learned goes, When Russia invaded Lithuania, soldiers entered their home and tried to make my Great Granddad join thier army. He refused, they broke his back with the butt of a rifle, he died, Great grandma escaped to the states. Ended up in Chicago and was there til she died at 106 yrs old. She had a couple daughters, my Grandma Francine, ended up in California after remarriage. My Dad's DAd, Grandpa, died in Vegas in the 50's. Confused yet, I am. I had 3 great aunts, Stella, Herm and Julie. Herm lived in the upper penninsula of Michigan. Stella and Julie, Chicago's south side around Halsted street area.
