I carry the last name of Janowski but through a previous marriage. My ex-husband passed away in 2003 but we had one son. I am trying to gather information to add to my family tree. Someone posted the birth of Andrew Felix in Texas in 1882-1883 and I know he passed away here in 1959. He married Mary Matilda Dickerson and I found military registration in Harris County, Tx. He was living in Humble, Tx. I haven't been able to find an early Texas census record that included Felix. I had heard previously that brothers came from Poland (don't know where to) but later at least one came to Texas. There are other Janowski's in this area that we don't know and I have just started searching. If anyone has come across this name in their searches, I would appreciate any info.
