I ran across this researching the DuBois family of Ingham/Jackson Counties Michigan in a 1921 local history book"..
"Gerrit DuBois married Margretge Elmendorf, one of the fourth generation from Anneke Jans."...
"The old family [DuBois] Bible was loaned to a representative of the Anneke Jans estate to be used as proof in certain matters and was never returned, nor any trace of it found, though it would have been an invaluable record."
Anyone know if this Bible ever re-appeared?
