Kathleen H. Jansen, 87, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, in Chambersburg Hospital, after a short illness. She was born Jan. 29, 1924, in Osceola Mills, Pa., a daughter of the late John Thomas and Emma (Dugan) Hughes. Kathleen was a member of St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe. Besides her parents,
she was preceded in death by her husband, Marc A. Jansen; three sisters, Elizabeth Carroll,
Ruth Hughes
and Mary Ellis;
and two brothers, John and Eugene Hughes.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Kate Show and husband, Douglas, of West Newton, Betsy Brinker and husband, Thomas, of Latrobe, and Dr. Michele Jansen Behta and husband, Dr. Babak Behta, of Chambersburg; a brother, Eugene Hughes, of Havertown; six grandchildren, Adrienne Capretti, James Capretti, Douglas Show Jr., Danielle McLaughlin and husband Keith, Emma Behta and Nell Behta; and a great-grandson, Keith. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Vincent Basilica. Interment to follow in St. Vincent Cemetery.
