Genevieve E. Jantzen
Miss Genevieve E. Jantzen, a retired Chelmsford school teacher, died Saturday night at the Colonial Nursing home. Born in Lowell, a daughter of the late James and the late Julianna (Farrell) Jantzen, she attended Lowell high school and matriculated at Lowell Teachers College, where she was graduated with the class of 1907. Miss Jantzen served as a teacher with the Chelmsford school department for half a century until her retirement in 1956. She resided at 3 Olive St., Lowell, and was an attendant of the Scared Heart church, maintaining membership in the parish Holy Rosary sodality. Miss Jantzen was a twin sister of the late Dr. Joseph W. Jantzen who died in 1948, and is survived by a sister, Mrs. Anita Heller of East Providence, RI. A high mass of requiem was offered this morning at the Sacred Heart church at 9 o'clock and burial took place in St. Patrick's cemetery.
