Looking for parents (and descendants) of Benjamin Archer Janvier, born circa 1804 probably in New Castle County, Delaware. On 6-2-1835, he married Margaret Barr (daughter of Samuel Barr and Mary McDowell) of New Castle (the town), New Castle Co. - they had six children but only two survived childhood and married: Jane Barr Janvier (m. Lewis Cass Forsythe, son of Robert Allen Forsyth and Maria Howard), Mary Archer Janvier (m. Henry William Decachet Nicholson, son of Augustus A. Nicholson and Helen Bache Lispenard). I believe all of these families were in the Washington, DC area from the mid 19th to early 20th centuries.

The mormons transcribed them in the 1880 census with the surname as "JAMRIR"!
