Ernest Jaramillo who was known by his close family and friends as Kino or just "Ernie" passed away October 21, 2012 at North Shore Health & Rehab Center. Ernie was a simple man loved by all who knew him. He was born August 17, 1935 in Taos, New Mexico but lived most of his life in Cheyenne, Wyoming and spent his remaining years in Loveland, Colorado. He was a hard working man who spent most of his working years in the field of construction. Ernie was known as a man who would give the shirt off his back for someone else. Ernie loved fishing, hunting and just visiting with his family and friends. His favorite places to fish were Granite and Crystal lakes in Cheyenne. Ernie is preceded in death by his son, Richard Jaramillo, and his mother and father, Sinforoza and Manuel Jaramillo. He is survived by his 12 children: David Jaramillo, Lorraine Matthews, Danny "Shorty" Jaramillo, MaryAnn Jaramillo, Margaret Jaramillo, Connie Jaramillo, Phillip Jaramillo, Sylvia Trujillo, Shirley Jaramillo, Kim Lucero, Ernest Jaramillo and Gregory Jaramillo; 33 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Cremation has been conducted and a celebration of Ernie's life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday at the Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ernest Jaramillo Memorial Fund in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave., Loveland, CO 80537.
