My name is Lewis Wayne Jarman, Obediah Jarman is my g-g-grandfather. Your information is very interesting. I've been trying to prove that Penelope Jarman is Obediah and Daniel Jarman mother abd that Daniel Koonce Jr. is their father. I've had the DNA on me done and a cousin in Pensacola, Forida has also done the DNA testing and we are waiting for final results to come in. My DNA started a new/another listing because it did not match any other DNA group.

Where did you get your information about Penelope Jarman in Sumter County, Alabama. I have been there several times reviewing all records availble to prove it also. I have census records and land records, but unable to find a grave for Penelope Jarman. Do you have any records on her? the 1840 census implies that Obediah and Daniel were married and that his marriage to Dora Ann Roddy is a second marriage. Do you have any information on this? Do you know when in the 1830s they settled in the Cuba, Sumter County, Alabama area? More questions to come later.
