Jervis in Suffolk 1800's
Hi
Anyone doing the Jarvis family in Suffolk, especially around the Woodbridge district Bawdsey/Hollesley area?
I have a conundrum and its sending me mad.
My William Jarvis b.1790 Hollesley appears on the 1841 census with his family, his second wife Mary Harvey that he married in 1832,( according to the parish registers)and a troop of kids.
Here's my dillema......the 2 birth certificates for the children I have sent for from the register office using census dob's have the mother as Mary Jarvis nee Harvey but the father as James Jarvis .....not William?????? This is a one horse town and there are no other Jarvis's? Why would this be??
Anyone got any ideas at all that can help
Regards
Dave
