I am looking for the marriage of Patricia Jane Arbuckle and an Unknown Jarvis in or near Philadelphia County, PA, about 1828, give or take a few years. Patricia Jane Arbuckle, who seemed to go by the name Jane,married Mitchell Luke Alexander in Brown County, IL, in 1840. However, she had previously been married to a man whose surname was Jarvis. Mr. Jarvis' given name could be John, but don't quote me. Their marriage is evidenced by the birth of two children--Francis John Jarvis and Isabella Jarvis. Francis, or Frank, was born 23 July 1832 in Philadelphia, PA. This could be theh city or the county. Isabella was born May 1837 in or near New Orleans, LA, where Mr. Jarvis died about 1837. Patricia Jane Arbuckle was originally from Northern Ireland, and Mr. Jarvis was also from Ireland. I suspect he was from Ulster as well. If anyone has any leads or clues, I'd appreciate hearing from you andn would be willing to share what I have.
