Walter Jarzabek of Spencer Drive, Middletown, died Thursday at Harbor Hill Care Center in Middletown. He was 77.
He was born in Middletown and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney in Middletown before retiring. He was a member of the St. Kazimierz Society.
He is survived by three sons, David Jarzabek of Putnam, Daniel Jarzabek of Hudson, N.H., and Dennis Jarzabek of Florida; two daughters, Diane Baron of Middletown and Deborah Goodreau of East Hampton; a sister, Ann Dusza of Willimantic; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His wife, Gertrude Kosinski Jarzabek, died earlier.
The funeral will be Monday at 10:15 a.m. from the Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, to St. Mary's Church for a funeral liturgy at 11. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours are at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
