I am curious if your two surnames are connected or separate lines (i.e. never married, opposite sides of family, etc.). I am searching for Anton and Helen (Lippert) Zejsek; Helen remarried to a Pfeifer after Anton died in 1915 in Cuyahoga Co., Ohio.

Jo-Ann
Bahai1959@yahoo.com

I grew up with your mother, Jennifer -- her brother, John, confirmed that Feb 28, 1948 was "our" Mary's birthdate so I am sure we have the right person. I went to school with your mom for 13 years (K-12) and have two pictures of her I could share with you (Kindergarten and First Communion, so ages 5 and 7-ish). We grew up in a VERY small town outside of Utica called Clayville. I'd be glad to share what I know of this family with you and anyone else in your family.

Marsha Strong; Gainesville, FL
cmstrong@hotmail.com

Jon,
I can answer some of these questions for you but don't have a lot of info. Your Grandmother Pearl is my father's (Anthony) sister. You and I have actually meet, and you probably remember me. Here is the info I have. Our grandparents Anthony Jasek, and Buena (Burley) Jasek had five children (Steve, Anthony, June, Pearl, and Veronica). There were also two other children (David "Joe" and Gloria) they were from Buena's grandmother's two other marriages.

As far as Pearl's grandparents and aunts and Uncles this is what I can tell you. My Great-grandmother, your great great grandomther was Victoria Jasek, I do not know her maiden name she lived on Niagra Street in Niagra Falls. I believe her husband's name was John I never knew him but did know Victoria. Their children were Johnny, Bruno, Anthony, Berneice, Josehphine, and Mary. The only one of these children still alive is Mary (Jasek) Wilson and she lives in Buffalo, NY. My grandfather Anthony died when I was a little girl so the early 70's and I only have vauge memories of him. I am in contact with several of Jospehine's children as I grew up knowing them. As both my father and Uncle Steve lived with Aunt Josephine at different times. Also, Victoria and her husband were Polish but immagrated to the states from Romania.

As far as our grandmother's side, I never knew her she died before I was born. But I did know her mother Birdie (DaVinny) Burley who was from Georiga. I also knew her sister Grace "Gerri" and her husband Uncle Mac Clouston, who still lives in Niagara Falls, NY and is in his late 80's. My suggestion is if you have any questions about the Burley side you contact Uncle Joe in Georiga. I have contact info for him so please email me at reign19@aol if you read this and I can be of any help.

Also, if anyone else can help us out or if I can help anyone please feel free to eamil me at reign19@aol.com. Please put one of the surnames in the title otherwise I might not answer this.

Kim

Barbara Jasek + Marcin Matuszczak Międzybrodziu Bialskim, Poland abt 1845

I am researching the family of Barbara Jasek, who is the daughter of Josef and Anny Kajsan - Jasek. She married Marcin Matuszczak and together they had 5 children:

Tomas, Barbara Marianna, Josef, Anna and Katherina.

Barbara Marianna was my great grandmother and she married Josef Snarzyk. Together they had 2 sons: Jozef and Jan (John). All four immigrated to the US, with Jozef (later spelled Joseph) and John remaining in the US. Marianna and Josef Sr moved back to Poland.

Tomas, Marianna and Joszef Matuszczak were born in Międzybrodziu Bialskim, Poland with Mariann being born on Dec 2 1857.

Some family remains within this region in Poland.

Any connection to family here in the states?

While working on the Family tree for the Trojanowski Family in Texas, I found that Albina Lillie Trojanowski married Edwin Frank Jezek (sic?). Edwin died in 1983 in Houston. They had three children I know of: Patricia; Peggy Ann; and, Eugene Frank.

I am principally working on the Trojanowski line, but would love to hear from anyone with any infor on the ancestors and family of Edwin Frank Jezek/Jesek.

I don't have much on our Jasek line, but I would love to compare notes.

My grandparents were Willie Jasek/Mary Martis. As a sad aside, their youngest, my aunt Willie Mae Jasek, died early this morning (Feb 4) at age 66. The funeral will be in Fayetteville Wednesday afternoon. There will probably be some services here in Houston Tuesday evening, likely at George H. Lewis & sons on Bering.
