After going through some old documents of my grandfather's, I found out that there were a few changes to my last name coming from Europe to America during the time of WWII. I have my name changing from Yorcewcz to Yaceswyk to Jacewicz to now Jasewicz. I can't be sure but I believe that, Yorcewcz was the original spelling.

Hi,
My husbands grandfather was Jonas Jankauskas- The CT vital records lists his mom as Elizabeth Jasevyczius of Lithuania.
Since immigrants names were all changed around I'm wondering if this name means anything to you?
I'd be glad to help you if I could.
Diana
e-mail me directly at rogueone@rivah.net
